Nobody in their right mind can hear the reports of violence and\u00a0death in our schools and be unaffected. It should greatly disturb us and\u00a0move us to be proactive in heading off future problems.<\/p>\n
The sad reality of all of this is that we\u2019ve become a nation of shouters\u00a0because we\u2019re in a mess and feel hopeless and don\u2019t know what to do\u00a0about it. The same groups with the same agenda gather after every\u00a0tragedy and shout, \u201cNo More Guns, No More Guns,\u201d until they\u2019re hoarse.\u00a0\u201cNo More Guns\u201d is not an option. And all of that shouting isn\u2019t going to make it so.<\/p>\n
While we\u2019re on the subject of shouting let me remind the church that\u00a0we\u2019re guilty of the same thing. We shout that we\u2019re a nation under God\u00a0and constantly try to make the point that we are a nation founded on\u00a0Christian principles as though it will stop the advance of evil in this\u00a0country. We can shout, \u201cOne Nation, Under God\u201d until we are hoarse\u00a0and it will not make it so.<\/p>\n
I\u2019d like to make the point that all of the issues we\u2019re facing aren\u2019t\u00a0going to be resolved by placing and replacing the resident in the Oval\u00a0Office. The answer to what ails America is not more\u00a0shouting and it\u2019s not a top-down issue\u2026 it\u2019s a bottom-up\u00a0issue. The culture of our country has drastically changed\u00a0because the foundation has shifted. America is akin to the\u00a0Leaning Tower of Pisa. She\u2019s out of line with God and in\u00a0danger of falling!<\/p>\n
A nation under God can only be realized when its states are under God.
\nAnd states can only be under God when its counties are under God.
\nAnd counties can only be under God when its cities are under God.
\nAnd cities can only be under God when its communities are under God.
\nAnd communities can only be under God when its churches are\u00a0under God.
\nAnd churches can only be under God when its families are under God.
\nAnd families can only be under God when its men are under God.<\/p>\n
If we\u2019re going to be a nation under God, we\u2019d best stop shouting\u00a0about it and do something about it. What do we do? Start right here\u00a0and line up under God. A nation can be changed one family at a time.<\/p>\n
The truth is that the right of the citizenry to keep and bear arms is a\u00a0Constitutional right that \u201cshall not be infringed.\u201d We do not have\u00a0provisions for Constitutional rights to be shouted away. \u201cNo More Guns\u201d\u00a0is not an option.<\/p>\n
